An event page may include its own discussion. Use it to share sources, ask clarifying questions, and test your reasoning before updating a forecast.
How your identity appears
Plura creates an anonymous browser alias for discussions. Other participants do not see your name, email address, or sign-in details through a message.
An alias is not a promise of complete anonymity from the service itself. Read account and privacy for data-handling details.
Before publication
A message passes several checks:
- only plain text within a limited length is accepted;
- harmful or manipulative instructions are rejected;
- there is a cooldown of about 30 seconds between messages;
- an automated safety service determines whether the text can be shown publicly.
If the automated check is temporarily unavailable, the new message is not published. Try again later.
Rules for a useful discussion
- include a source for claims that can be verified;
- distinguish facts from your own assumptions;
- discuss the question rather than another participant’s identity;
- never publish someone else’s personal data;
- do not repeat the same message.
Automated checks can make mistakes
Do not attempt to bypass the filters. If safe text is rejected, simplify the wording or contact support.
